DPE is an online community of photographers from the UK and around the world. We have photo competitions, activities, help and advice, for all members to take part in, and benefit from.

October Photo Competition
Voting Results:
The results from the voting in our "Autumn" themed October photo competition are as follows:
- Joint 1st - "Autumn Woods" by Ceri J, and "Borrowdale Evening 2010" by myself
- 2nd Place - "Arochar Autumn Reflected" by Peter McG
Well done to Ceri, Peter and all who took part.
Monthly Comp' Postponed
As per my group email, there were only 5 images entered to the November competition (by December 9th), which obviously isn't enough to justify running the competition.
As I'm going to be rebuilding the website soon, I'm postponing the monthly photo comp' until after the work is complete in early 2011.
New Voting Rules for Entrants
Please note that we have updated the rules for monthly competition entrants and voting. Briefly this equates to all entrants being required to cast their votes in order to maintain an equilibrium and fair balance to the competitions.

Flash Display
For each year, we have one integrated flash display showing each month's competition entries in corresponding slideshow albums. The default display loading with the page is always the latest album chronologically; other albums can be accessed by clicking the "Show Albums" button at the bottom right. You may have to refresh your browser or clear the cache/ history before the latest albums will display.
You can stop the slide show at any time by clicking the "Pause Slideshow" button at the bottom left; clicking the same button will resume the slideshow sequence. Simply mouse over any photo and the drop down caption will display its title.
